Here at RTS we invite all readers to comment on every debate. This is a privilege that will hopefully be sustained on this site.
There are several options on wordpress.com for how to manage comments. They can be limited, moderated, censored, and even disallowed. Right now we have the settings open so 1) even those without a wordpress account can comment and 2) the comments do not need to be approved by a contributor before appearing on the site.
These are two very delicate settings, as one vulgar post from an anonymous person could force us to screen comments before they appear on the site. Please respect our desire for unedited debate by keeping it clean (mostly). There is nothing wrong with heated debate, but please follow these simple rules:
- No vulgarity – This is a subjective term, but its definition will be determined by the RTS writers. If a comment you post is deemed vulgar, the comment will be edited and/or removed and you will receive a warning.
- No Personal Attacks - Keep the focus on sports, not on who you’re talking to. There is no problem with “that guy is an idiot” or “what a stupid post,” but if you begin to maliciously attack anyone on this site you will be warned and possibly banned from the site.
- No Yankee Fans – Just kidding… but seriously.
If you plan on regularly commenting— please sign up for a wordpress account so we know who you are.
We look forward to fun/debate/argument/controversy.
Long live rivalry.
